After Lifeblows that cause pain,
our logic tells us to avoid more.
We might isolate ourselves from other people,
thinking it will be helpful
if we avoid talking about what happened
so that deeper feelings don't rise up.
We miss the fact
that the source of our pain
is not in the talking about feelings.
Our source of pain
is in what the Lifeblow means to us
and what we choose to believe about it
and do about it.
Feelings surface
because HEALING requires letting them go.
