I read a story of two horses in a field. Incredibly, one horse is blind. If you get close enough to him, you can hear the sound of a bell. On further examination, you'll see that the bell is attached to the halter of the smaller horse. It helps her blind friend know where she is, so he can follow where she leads. When they go back to the barn each evening, she stops and looks back periodically, making sure her friend is still close enough to hear the ring...and follow. Our lives work much the same way. Sometimes we are the blind horse...guided by the ringing bell of people God has placed in our life. Other times we are the guide horse, helping others around us to see and find their way.
